CPR & First Aid Training Certification available through
the American Heart Association and
Western Plains Public Health
(we do not offer BLS for Health Care Providers)

Option 1: Blended CPR/1st Aid: Students complete online training through the American Heart Association (AHA), then complete a 1-2.5 hour skills check off at Western Plains Public Health. There are separate costs for the AHA online training and the skills check off.

Option 2: Face-to-Face CPR/1st Aid: There is NO online training. Everything is completed at Western Plains Public Health the day of the class (approximately 6 hours).
*If Face-to-Face classes do not fill, they may be cancelled.
 

BLENDED  CPR/1st AID

Step One

• Complete the appropriate online course through the American Heart Association (click on course below for AHA online registration)
        - Heartsaver® First Aid CPR AED (BOTH),
        - Heartsaver® CPR AED (ONLY), or
        - Heartsaver® First Aid (ONLY)
           ("Optional Child & Infant" is included in each section--review prior to skills check off)

           **Be sure to select the correct class as costs will vary.**

• Print the Certificate of Completion upon completion of the online course as you will need a copy for step two.

Step Two

• The fees for the skills check-off classes are as follows: Complete the registration form
  **Due to the limited class availability, all fees are non-refundable.**
   
• First Aid ONLY check off class: $45
  CPR ONLY check off class: $55
  CPR and First Aid check off class: $65. 

• Mail the following:  Registration Form (See Below), Certificate of Completion and Payment

• Once we receive the Certificate of Completion, Registration Form and Payment, a CPR instructor will contact you to schedule your in-person check-off held at the Western Plains PH office (403 Burlington Street SE, Mandan ND).  The skills check-off sessions will take 1-2.5 hours to (depending on the class). 

        FACE-TO-FACE

There is nothing to complete online. All the training/information will be provided in class.
These sessions will take approximately 6 hours to complete (depending on the class).

• Complete the registration form (See Below). The fees for the Face-to-Face classes are as follows:
  First Aid ONLY class: $55
  CPR ONLY class: $65
  CPR and First Aid class: $80
  **Due to the limited class availability, all fees are non-refundable.**
  **If classes do not fill, they may be cancelled.**

•  After the items listed above are received, Western Plains PH will confirm your registration by phone.
